These are the moments that stay with you long after the journey ends. Over the years, we’ve shared hundreds of stories about Serbia’s destinations – from medieval fortresses and hidden villages to mountain peaks, waterfalls, lakes, and caves. This summer, we wanted to do something different.
Instead of exploring one destination at a time, we’re inviting you to discover entire regions – the landscapes, local traditions, seasonal experiences, and slower rhythms that make each part of Serbia unique during the warmest months of the year.
That’s how Summer Escapes in Serbia was born.
From the emerald waters of the Drina Valley and the medieval heart of the Ibar Valley to the forests of Fruška Gora, the untouched nature of Homolje, the mountain villages of Stara Planina, the peaceful landscapes of Zlatar and Uvac, and many more remarkable corners of the country, every story follows a different route – but they all share one thing in common: they reveal the Serbia that locals love most in summer.
