Drvengrad is one of Serbia’s most unusual destinations – a traditional wooden village created by filmmaker Emir Kusturica in the mountains of Mokra Gora. Designed as a film set that became a real place, it combines wooden architecture, cultural events, mountain views, and a distinctive atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the country.
But Drvengrad is more than its appearance. Together with the nearby Šargan Eight railway, scenic viewpoints, and the landscapes of western Serbia, it offers a unique mix of culture, nostalgia, and slow travel experiences.
