Celtic Village in Inđija – Where History Comes Alive

Did you know that right next to the town of Inđija, in the heart of Srem, there is a place where you can travel back over 2,300 years in time and explore the world of the ancient Celts? The Celtic Village is a unique thematic tourist complex, located in Inđija’s sports and recreation zone, inspired by the way of life of the Celts who once inhabited this region.

Surrounded by a tall wooden fence, the complex recreates the look and feel of an ancient settlement. Inside, visitors will find authentic Celtic houses made of wood, clay, and reed, along with craft workshops that bring to life traditional skills and everyday life from the Iron Age.

One of the cottages hosts a mini museum, featuring artifacts and replicas inspired by the Celtic tribe Scordisci, who lived in the Srem area centuries ago. Visitors are welcomed by costumed guides and storytellers who, through engaging performances, vividly portray the customs, rituals, and spirit of the Celts.

The village is both fun and educational, offering interactive workshops, open-air theater performances, concerts, and a children’s playground. There’s also an adventure park and a souvenir shop where guests can take home handcrafted items reminiscent of Celtic artistry and symbols.
