Air transport

The largest airport in Serbia, located in Belgrade, hosts 24 international airline companies. Belgrade airport “Nikola Tesla” is in Surčin, located 18 km away from the city center, and is equipped to operate in all weather conditions. Transfer from and to airport

You can get to the airport “Nikola Tesla” from the city center (Slavija Square bus stop outside of the hotel “Slavija”) and vice versa by taking the bus line A1 that goes every 20 minutes. Ticket price starts from 800 dinars (around 6.83 Euros), while the timetable can be found HERE.

Airport is also connected to the city center by a regular GSP line number 72 (airport Nikola Tesla – Zeleni Venac) and the ticket price is 400 dinars (around 3.41 Euros).

If you want transportation that will get you exactly to your destination, the best thing would be to take a taxi. Some of the numbers of taxi companies are: 19803 (Pink taxi), 19801 (Belgrade taxi), 19806 (Gold taxi). In case you are unable to make the call there is a taxi station at the airport, where you can take a taxi. The price of the taxi service ranges from 2500 to 3000 dinars.

Public transportation

Public transportation consists of buses, trams and trolleybuses, while the ticketing system that operates in them is BusPlus. You can use this system by buying carton BusPlus ticket (the price ranges from 50 to 100 dinars) at any newsstand or Corner shop, and that you need to fill with credit at the same place. Near the entrance to the vehicle you can find BusPlus devices where you need to put the ticket so that it could be processed.

Another type of transportation operating in Belgrade is Beovoz, suburban railway system. Currently it is under the supervision of Serbian Railways. It is used for connecting the suburban areas and towns in the vicinity of Belgrade, like Pančevo and Inđija, to the central city zones.
