Young Serbian female taekwondist Tijana Bogdanovic has secured a berth for the Rio Olympics after three victories at a qualifying tournament in Istanbul on Sunday.
Following in the footsteps of her compatriot Milica Mandic, 17-year-old Bogdanovic defeated Bulgaria’s Nikol Chorbanova 4-2 in the -49 kg category, as well as Ivett Gonda of Hungary (3-2), and Erica Nicoli of Italy (11-4) in the semi-final.
