Every traveller discovers a different Serbia.
For some, it is found on a mountain path, in the scent of herbs and stories shared by people who have lived beneath the same peak for generations. For others, it appears around a family table, during a village celebration, beneath an old apple tree, or in an unexpected invitation from strangers along the road.
Some stories belong to people visiting Serbia for the first time. Others come from those returning to their childhood homes, preserving family memories, or rediscovering traditions that have shaped their lives.
Serbia, Told By You brings these perspectives together.
The series was created as a space for locals, travellers, members of the diaspora, and everyone with a meaningful connection to Serbia to share the country as they have experienced it – not through official descriptions or conventional travel guides, but through personal moments.
These stories reveal a Serbia shaped by people as much as by places. They lead to mountains, villages, cities, family homes, orchards, farms, local roads, festivals, and tables filled with food. Yet their real subject is often something less visible: belonging, kindness, memory, hospitality, and the unexpected connections that stay with us long after a journey ends.
A destination can be introduced through its monuments and landscapes, but sometimes a personal story tells us much more. It shows how a place feels, how it is remembered, and why someone carries a part of it home.
