Dragan Bosnić (1950) is a Belgrade photographer, journalist, cartoonist and designer. He has participated in numerous national and international exhibits and won numerous awards. His passion for travel and photography made him one of the best Serbian photographers, who recorded the prettiest parts of Serbia, customs of the Serbian people, monuments and more. His works from the “pilgrimage” decade across different landscapes was compiled in the illustrated monograph “Amazing Serbia” published by the “Youth Book” from Belgrade.

The most interesting scenes of more than one hundred localities, little-known to the urban residents, were selected and presented in the form of 528 large pages of this book. All photos are followed by comments, traditional stories and interpretations of the origin and history of these areas. “First you are attracted by the beauty of the old forts and monasteries, picturesque or deserted villages… As times goes by you discover that the traces of human hands do not last long in this area,” Dragan Bosnić wrote in the introductory letter of the “Roads next road signs.” “So I followed the more enduring signs: calm and turbulent rivers, forests being bended by the winds, mountains being crushed by torrents as well as human stories, that differ from village to village, and still remain the same”. More than a thousand images demystify Serbia by zooming the wonders of nature, remains of the ancient civilizations, tradition and customs.

Dragan Bosnić has published reports in prestigious journals. His illustrated editions have been translated into several languages, and some of them are stored in the holdings of the Library of Congress in Washington.
