Michelin Group and its company in Serbia, Tigar Tyres, opened a new mixing mill on Thursday, which will enable the factory in Pirot to run at full capacity and produce 12 million passenger tyres a year.

This investment project began in 2013 and was worth EUR 215 million. The company has a 3,000-strong workforce.

The opening ceremony brought together representatives of the Serbian government, Head of Michelin for Central and Southern Europe Eric Faidy, Tigar Tyres Director Gary Scheide and local officials.

The project illustrates the trust that Michelin Group places in the factory in Serbia, and in a sustainable development of our company in Pirot. This is a significant step for our long-term development in Pirot and Serbia, Faidy said.
