
Asked to comment on the closing of the Western Balkan refugee route, Asp said that Sweden received 160,000 refugees last year, more than other countries when compared to the number of citizens.
We will have to find a better way of dealing with the refugee crisis and protecting the rights of those running away from conflict and seeking asylum in some other country. Now we are looking for the way to achieve this, the Swedish ambassador told Tanjug at the 13th International Education Fair (EDU Fair).
He said that the first step toward the solution had been made last week with the holding of an EU-Turkey summit.
Soon we will have another major meeting, Asp said.
