Tickets to New York are being sold by Air Serbia at a price of 399 euros, and the first flight of that line is going to take off from Nikola Tesla Airport on June 23rd.

Revenues of the first two tickets sold in economy class are intended for Blic foundation, as it was said in the press release of Air Serbia.

News about sale of the first three tickets was announced by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić at International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, and they were bought by the Prime Minister himself, the ambassador of the USA Kyle Scott and Marija Gaćeša, who owns both Serbian and American citizenship.

Air Serbia states that it offers a return ticket for departures from Belgrade at a price of 399 euros in economy class and 2.499 euros in business class, including taxes and fees. Tickets can be bought at promotional prices only during the period of February 18-24, and reservations can be performed via Air Serbia website.

Serbian national air company is going to offer special promo prices for return tickets between Belgrade and the following cities, on Friday, 19th of February: Berlin from 149 euros, Malta from 189 euros and Sarajevo from 109 euros.

Air Serbia will establish regular lines between Nikola Tesla Airport and International Airport JFK which will be conducted by Airbus A330-200.

Flights to New York were assigned the numbers YU500 and YU501, the same numbers used by Air Serbia’s predecessor JAT, when it flew directly to New York 24 years ago.

Air Serbia began its work as a national air company of the Republic of Serbia in October, 2013. Flights are performed to 39 European destinations, in the Mediterranean and in the Middle East, from its main International airport “Nikola Tesla” in Belgrade, both in passenger and freight traffic.

Flights will be performed 5 times a week: from Belgrade at 7.30am on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will land to JFK at noon, according to the local time, while on Fridays and Saturdays, flights will depart from Belgrade at 12.55 and land in New York at 17.25.

Return flight will be conducted on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14.40, and will land in Belgrade at 5.30am, and on Fridays and Saturdays it will depart at 19.30 and land in Belgrade at 10.20.
