The 10th edition of the UEFA Futsal Championship was kicked off in Belgrade on Tuesday, with the first match, a meeting between hosts Serbia and Slovenia, starting at Belgrade’s Arena at 6.30 p.m..

A total of 12 nations qualified for the UEFA Futsal Euro 2016 final tournament, including defending champions Italy.

The opening ceremony, held just before the start of the match, included a dance spectacle.

Dejan Stankovic, Serbian football star and the tournament’s promoter, kicked the tournament off by taking the first kick in the match.

The opening ceremony was attended by Football Association of Serbia (FSS) President Tomislav Karadzic, Vice-Presidents Savo Milosevic and Slavisa Kokeza, former FSS secretary general Zoran Lakovic and many others.
