President of the Council of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Nebojsa Savic said Sunday that he expected private sector development to be encouraged in 2016, stressing that Serbia needed a higher rate of economic growth.

Savic believes that the fiscal reforms began in 2015 would continue in the new year.

According to Savic, Serbia will have to make a lot of savings and finish what it started, and the strucural reforms should be implemented in the first half of next year.

“We should give a chance to people who have worked in the public sector to enter into the private sector and continue their development,” Savic said for Radio Television of Serbia.
