Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang discussed opportunities for improving defense cooperation Monday.
They observed that cooperation in this area was good, just like the overall relationship between the two countries, but with room for further improvement, the Defense Ministry said in a release.
They also discussed the possibility of Chinese companies investing in Serbia’s defense industry.
Gasic thanked China for helping the Serbian Defense Ministry and Armed Forces with many military donations, including a recent one worth CNY 7 million (about EUR 1 million).
The People’s Republic of China is a strategic partner and one of the most reliable friends of Serbia, proving this with its principled support for Serbia’s efforts to resolve the Kosovo-Metohija issue by peaceful means, said Gasic.
