Belgrade City Manager Goran Vesic said on Monday that the 2016 city budget would be nearly RSD 80 billion, while deficit would be below five percent.
He added that next year the City would invest over RSD 23 billion in capital projects such as water supply and sewerage infrastructure, roads and others that improve the quality of life in the capital.
Underlining that Belgrade had become the most attractive investment destination in this part of Europe, Vesic said that foreign investors appreciated that the city offered complete projects and the legal framework that they could work in.
Asked about Belgrade’s comparative advantages concerning foreign investments, Vesic mentioned its geographic position, qualified workforce, its size, and the city administration’s commitment to creating a business-enabling environment.
