
In a statement to daily Politika, Dacic said that “the chapter does not constitute a replacement for the dialogue”, underlining that the talks would continue to be mediated by the EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
According to Dacic, there are no additional deadlines in relation to Chapter 35.
The foreign minister voiced confidence that Serbia would implement all deals reached in Brussels.
“That is not a problem for us,” he said.
However, Dacic said that it would be impossible for the EU to formulate a single position that would not be status-neutral, since its five member states had refused to recognize Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence.
