The opening of the first negotiation chapters in Serbia’s EU accession talks puts an end to all dilemmas as to where Serbia is heading, says Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic.
The Serbian government, headed by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, is putting across a clear message – that Serbia is heading towards the EU and that no one can steer it off that path any more, she said.
She said that all those who made a contribution over the past 15 years to Serbia opening the first negotiation chapters should be remembered today – the governments of prime ministers Zoran Djindjic and Vojislav Kostunica and the government of Mirko Cvetkovic, former president Boris Tadic and the government of Ivica Dacic.
“Prime Minister Vucic’s policy has made the final contribution to Serbia opening the first chapters in Brussels today,” she said.
