Besides Most ljubavi (Bridge of Love) and Matematički most (Mathematical Bridge), Vrnjačka Banja has got another theme bridge- Most daljinar (Distance bridge), as it was announced from Tourism Organization of Vrnjačka Banja.

This bridge is placed in front of „Srbija“ restaurant, next to the most beautiful Linden Avenue, planted by the legendary Mayor Vojvoda Lune in the late twenties of the 19th century.

In an effort to keep the memory of the famous spa waiter Nedeljko Neđo Ilić who had often gathered around the guests at this bridge, telling them the distance from that point to the biggest metropolises, this bridge is named „Daljinar“.

„We have put the panels on which the precise distance to some world metropolises is written“, said the executive of Tourism Organization Ivan Trifunović and added that he hoped that that bridge would be visited by numerous tourists and that the pictures of it would be all around social networks as an beautiful memory from the trip to Vrnjačka Banja.

According to the words of Goran Karavesović from Tourist-Informative center, this is the extension to the action of marking the interesting locations in Vrnjačka Banja.

In the upcoming period, he added, the historical info board will be placed in front of the Serbia Hotel (ex Švajcarija), from where the biggest Serbian publisher and bookseller between the two wars Geca Kon was taken into the concentration camp Third Reich.

Reminding that the most important representatives of Serbian elite, writers, bankers, politicians used to stay in Vrnjačka Banja, Karavesović also announces the marking of „Turkulović“ Villa („Partizanka“ after the war), where Germans had set up their command in 1941. and there had planned the famous drop on Drvar in 1944.

He also mentioned the villa of the former apothecary Trajković, whose entire family with the exception of the youngest Milica, had been taken to Banjica and executed, and one member of Trajković family, Sloboda, was the girlfriend of Ivo Lola Ribar, with whom she had often stayed in Vrnjačka Banja.

Those old villas and their history should represent the real attraction of Vrnjačka Banja, the potential to wish for, full of memories, history, destinies waiting to be told, but also to tickle the imagination of tourists“, says Karavesović.
