Handing Grand Prix to Indian filmmaker Gurvinder Singh for his The Fourth Direction at the Belgrade Youth Center marked the end of the 21st Auteur Film Festival late on Saturday.

The best film award went to Daphne Heretakis for Archipelagoes, Naked Granites. Special recognition was given to Athina Tsangari for the film Chevalier, and the award for the most cinematic sequence in a feature film went to Aleksei German Jr for his Under Electric Skies.

The best direction award was given to Cornelius Porumbiu for The Treasure. A plaque award went to director of photography Matyas Erdely for his work in the film Sun of Saul, whose director, Laszlo Nemes, won the FIPRESCI Serbia ‘Slobodan Novakovic’ award.

A FIPRESCI special award was awarded to Chinese director Jia Zhangke for Mountains May Depart.
The best picture montage award went to Lazar Predojev.
