It’s truly difficult to decide just for one cycling route. If you head for Central Serbia and Šumadija, you will enjoy low but densely populated mountains in the North, bowing to the powerful mountain ranges south of Kraljevo city.

Road network in Central Serbia is stunning therefore cycling in this area can be a bit overwhelming and even dangerous due to heavy traffic. Nevertheless, additional alternative routes will make the mountains of Avala, Kosmaj, Rudnik, Jastrebac, Goč, Kopaonik more accessible.

The South of Serbia awaits you with lazy roads, high mountains and vast stretches of breathtaking nature to stop off and enjoy the stunning scenery. Beautiful wild forests, tame pastures, empty roadsVlasina lake, mountain range of Čemernik, Vardenik and Dukat, Suva planina, Besna kobila or Kukavica are sights of interest not to be missed.

Western Serbia is also a desirable destination for cycling. This route comprises the Tara National Park, the Uvac Nature Reserve and the Golija Nature Park, vast mountains, rivers and canyons. In addition to astonishing nature, well developed road network attracts cyclists to Western Serbia. Avoid frequent roads and get a taste of adventure.

And the fairy trails of Eastern Serbia? Mystique and magic… If you eager peaceful bike tour away from hustle and bustle of big cities, head for magical Eastern Serbia and its wilderness. Vast forest trails will help you hide and enjoy the sounds of nature. Eastern Serbia is like an unexplored stretch of nature in the hearth of the Balkans.

Let the road guide your way along the mighty Danube to the Djerdap gorge (eng. The Iron Gates of the Danube) or to Stara planina (eng. the Old mountain). If you still believe in mystique creatures and fairies and would like to explore local myths and legends or discover some old hidden magic and, on top of that, you’re not afraid of “drekavac” (literally “the screamer”, a mythical creature in south Slavic mythology), this is the right destination for you.

On the other hand, the sleepy Vojvodina in the North of the country offers you peaceful and not too challenging trails. Complex road network, endless plain chasing the infinite horizon… If you change your mind and wish for a temptation, cycle to Fruška gora or the Vršac Mountains. Going downhill will fill you with the sense of satisfaction after having completed the climb.
