The last, unfinished piece of one of the biggest Serbian composers Stevan Mokranjac, will be performed for the first time on Saturday, December 12 at 20:00 at Kolarčeva zadužbina. The Choir of RTS will have the honor of performing this masterpiece.
Namely, our renowned composer Aleksandra Vrebalov has finished this piece initiated by the agency „Scholz & Friends Belgrade“.
„One autumn evening in 1914, Stevan Mokranjac has started composing his last piece, a composition for choir inspired by the poem “Winter Days” by famous Serbian poet Jovan Jovanović Zmaj. As he soon passed away, the piece remained unfinished and thus unknown to the public. 101 years later, Aleksandra Vrebalov has reviwed the forgotten notes based on the only one remaining transcript of the original composition“, it is said in the press release of this agency.
The composition will be performed under the baton of Bojan Suđić.
