The world has to be unified in its decisions concerning Syria, and Serbia will accept any European solution for refugees, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic told participants of the London donor conference on Thursday.
We expect Brussels and particularly some EU countries to make it clear what is their position on refugees, and the government of Serbia will strive to actively contribute to the agreed. Serbia is neither a rich country nor an EU member, but we decided to donate through UNICEF EUR 500,000 for Syria, Vucic said.
The world does not need similar crises in other regions, especially not in the Western Balkans, he said, pointing out that Serbia would do everything to preserve stability in the region and always be part of the solution, and not part of the problem.
