Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has sent his condolences to Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu following a blast that left people killed and injured in central Istanbul Tuesday with a message that the tragic event is a reminder of the need for the international community to act more decisively in the fight against terrorism.

On behalf of the Serbian government and his own behalf, Vucic offered deepest condolences to the families of the victims, his Turkish counterpart and the Turkish government and citizens.
“We are deeply shocked to hear the news of the blast in the central square of Sultanahmet in Istanbul killing and injuring people. This tragedy is reminding us that the entire international community must act more decisively in the fight against terrorism, which threatens our cultural, religious and civilizational achievements,” Vucic said.
