Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said late Monday that he does not believe that a coup d’ etat has been attempted but added that there is a constant intention to erode the government.

Vucic told the RTS that what was going on was not innocuous since the front page of a daily newspaper has carried an arrest warrant with his name clearly stated on it.

“It was not a political attack, it was an accusation against me of a specific act of crime,” the prime minister said.
It is clear to everyone that it was about an attempt of the Kurir daily to acquire the Politika and Vecernje novosti dailies for free or bargain an agreement on this with someone, he said.

This specifically refers to the Democratic Party leadership, Miroslav Bogicevic, Aleksandar Rodic and Dusan Bjelopetrovic, he said.
