Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday spoke on the phone with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to discuss the migrant crisis.
Juncker praised Serbia’s efforts aimed at solving the issue of migrants, noting that Serbia is one of the countries that respect European values and act accordingly, the Serbian government press office said in a statement.
Juncker congratulated Vucic on the opening of the first chapters in the negotiation process with the EU, wishing Serbia swift progress on the European integration path.
Vucic thanked Juncker for the European Commission’s support for Serbia and invited him to visit Serbia, the statement said.
