Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Yoji Muto on Friday and thanked him for Japan’s support to Serbia, describing the country as one of the biggest donors of development and humanitarian assistance.

Vucic also noted there was much room for attracting investment from that country.

The Serbian prime minister also thanked Japan for the position taken at the recent UNESCO General Conference, and support to Serbia along its EU path, the government’s media relations office said in a release.

“Serbia would like to have closer economic relations with Japan. Our trade is not at a satisfactory level, and there is much room for attracting Japanese investments,” Prime Minister Vucic underlined.

Vucic extended an invitation to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to visit Serbia.
