Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic spoke with EU member-states’ ambassadors and the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia about Serbia’s European path and the intergovernmental conference that will mark the opening of the first negotiating chapter in Brussels on Monday.

According to a release from the government’s press office, the prime minister briefed the European diplomats on economic progress, political situation in Serbia, regional relations and problems in negotiations with Pristina and the latest developments in Kosovo.

Vucic also thanked the EU representatives for supporting Serbia in the membership negotiations process and the opening of the first chapter.
The meeting in Belgrade ended with a conclusion that 2015 was a good year for Serbia, marked by emerging out of recession, reducing fiscal deficit, and opening the first chapter in membership talks.
