
Asked whether Serbia will have to recognise Kosovo’s independence at the end of its negotiation process with the EU, Ambassador Van den Dool, whose country took over the presidency of the Council of the EU on January 1, 2016, told the Serbian edition of Newsweek that no one has requested that so far.
That request should not be expected because there are countries in the EU that have not recognised Kosovo’s independence, he said in an interview, to be published in its entirety on Monday.
