Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Saturday that he expects to see clear EU positions on which migrants and which citizens it wants to receive in its territory so that this does not become Serbia’s problem.

Serbia is ready to cooperate with all states and international institutions towards solving this problem, an Interior Ministry statement quoted Stefanovic as saying.

Visiting 20 Serbian police officers who have been guarding the Macedonian-Greek border for more than two weeks, Stefanovic said that the Serbian and Macedonian police want to establish normal transit and registration.

Touring the Vinojug reception centre in Gevgelija, Macedonia, with Macedonian counterpart Oliver Spasovski, Stefanovic said that Serbia will also work with other countries towards an improved registration of migrants.
