Sremska Mitrovica is ranked among the top ten micro-cities of the future, when it comes to the economic potential it provides. That the city made it to this particular category, as well as the award itself, provides “wind in the back for the next wave of investments that is expected.”
“We are facing a great challenge. New investors with a production based on modern technological solutions require a higher level of training of workers and it is up to us to provide the workforce in our city. Investments in education and major infrastructure projects, such as the underpass, are our next step in creating a better climate and attracting new investors,” Mayor Branislav Nedimovic said in a statement, and added:
“This award is also proof that we are on the right track, which is a confirmation of previous work and investment in infrastructure, progress of the administration, our attitude toward investors and readiness toward new investments.”
The awards ceremony will be held in March 15 in Cannes, during the prestigious MIPIM international property event, “where the talk is also about greenfield investments, and with the participation of the representatives of our city,” the statement concluded.
