Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic have announced a major joint exercise of the entire Serbian Armed Forces dubbed “Shield”.

As the prime minister said on Tuesday, the drill will demonstrate to Serbian citizens that the state is resolute in the fight against terrorism.

Stefanovic said that the central exercise will be held in front of the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.

“We will have a major drill in which all our security forces, police, military, BIA will illustrate Serbia’s response to the challenges of terrorism,” Stefanovic said.

As Tanjug learns, the biggest counter-terrorism exercise to date will begin at several locations in Belgrade at 11 a.m. on Saturday, engaging all security services of Serbia.
