A preliminary proceedings judge of the War Crimes Department of the Higher Court in Belgrade has postponed the hearing, scheduled for 9 am Thursday, for procedural reasons, the court’s spokeswoman Tanja Koljensic confirmed to Tanjug Wednesday.
A new date for the hearing will be set later, the court announced on its website.
The ICTY will announce its first-instance verdict in the Seselj case on March 31.
Seselj, who has said that he has no intention of returning to the ICTY voluntarily, appeared outside the court building early Thursday accompanied by a group of his followers, and burned the EU and NATO flags.
