“Serbia cultivates a friendship with Pakistan, despite the fact that we do not have the same positions on certain issues. Pakistan recognised the unilateral independence of Kosovo-Metohija and we know how this had come about,” the Serbian president said.
However, despite the crisis and spending cuts, there is a need in Serbian diplomacy to consider opening an embassy in Islamabad, the president’s press office quoted Nikolic as saying.
The Pakistani Ambassador said his country supported Serbia’s EU agenda and Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
