Slobodan Santrac, Serbian and Yugoslav football legend, died at the age of 70 in Belgrade on Saturday, Radio Television of Serbia reported.

Santrac was building his football career as a member of OFK Belgrade and Grasshoppers, and also at Partizan and Galenika.

He won the “bronze boot” as Europe’s third-highest scorer with 33 goals scored in the 1971/72 season.

Santrac played in eight matches for the former Yugoslavia national team, scoring one goal, and led the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia as head coach from 1994 to 1998, including at the World Cup in France.
