Acting in his capacity as co-chairman of the Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Serbia and Russia, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met with Vladimir Tkachenko, deputy chairman of the Russian part of the committee, in Belgrade on Thursday.

Dacic and Tkachenko discussed economic cooperation between the two countries as part of preparations for the holding of a meeting of the intergovernmental committee, which is co-chaired by Dacic and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.

The meeting will be held in Belgrade on January 11-12, 2016, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a release.

The officials observed that preparations were going according to plan, adding that the practice of maintaining contacts between representatives of the two sides would continue.
