Around 250.000 residents of Bulgaria decided to spend New Year’s breaks in the surrounding countries, and our country happens to be one of the most interesting destinations for them.

According to the Bulgarian Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, hundreds of hotels and restaurants around Novi Sad, Pirot and Serbia’s capital city have already been reserved.

Serbia will have organized visits by numerous tourists from Bulgaria, but there will also be those who will come here on their own. Besides our country, large is the number of those who will spend their New Year’s Eve in Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Hungary and Romania.

Bulgarian tour-operators say that affordable prices for celebration of New Year’s Eve are the reason for the massive departure of Bulgarians abroad, especially to Serbia and Macedonia.

Price for the excursion to Serbia and Macedonia (New Year’s dinner not included) is between 100 and 125 euros, depending on the number of overnights.

Three nights with breakfast and dinners, including the dinner party and also the dinner party the night after, cost between 200 and 250 euros.

A professor from the Faculty of Economics in Sofia said that he would spend his New Year’s Eve with his family in Niš.

„We have been celebrating New Year’s holidays abroad for many years now. We have chosen Serbia for this year. We wanted to see how our neighbors celebrate. The price for the three-day arrangement in a hotel with the transfer from Sofia, costs 155 euros per person“, he added.

Three-day arrangement for New Year’s Eve at famous Bulgarian tourist destinations costs around 750 euros.
