Head of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Serbia Hans Friedrich Schodder said in Adasevci near Sid in northestern Serbia Thursday that the number of migrants in Serbia had decreased, but their stay in the country had been drastically prolonged.

We have observed an increase in requests for asylum in Serbia. Currently, the number of asylum seekers in Serbia is not large, but they have no legal status at the moment and it is a segment in which we must assist the Serbian government, Schodder said.

The migrants housed in a one-stop camp in Adasevci received an aid in summer clothing, a donation from Japanese company Uniqlo, today.
