Based on 95.29 percent of ballots processed, the “Aleksandar Vucic – Serbia is winning” electoral list won 48.22 percent of the votes in Sunday’s early parliamentary elections in Serbia, Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) President Dejan Djurdjevic told Tanjug.

The Socialist Party of Serbia – United Serbia coalition won 11.02 percent of the votes, followed by the Serbian Radical Party (8.03 pct), the Democratic Party (6.06 pct) and the “Sasa Radulovic – Enough is Enough” list (5.95 pct).

The coalition of the Social Democratic Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina won 5.02 percent, while the Dveri-Democratic Party of Serbia coalition won 5.0 percent, Djurdjevic said.

RIK: 83 pct of polling stations processed, SNS won 48.26 pct

BELGRADE – Preliminary election results based on votes from 83 percent of polling stations, or 75.11 percent of the electorate, indicate that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won the most votes – 48.26 percent.

The Socialist Party of Serbia came in second with 11.37 percent, followed by the Serbian Radical Party with 7.97 percent, the Democratic Party-led electoral list with 6.11 percent and the Enough is Enough movement with 5.71 percent, the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) announced at a press conference at 4:30 am Monday.

The coalition of the Social Democratic Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina is very close to crossing the electoral threshold with 4.98 percent, as is the Dveri-Democratic Party of Serbia coalition with 4.95 percent.

The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians won 1.62 percent of the votes, with each of the remaining electoral lists at under 1 percent.

The RIK has announced that its next press conference with the latest information on election results will be held at 11 am Monday.
