President of the Democratic Party (DS) Bojan Pajtic said Monday he was satisfied with the results the DS had achieved in Serbia’s parliamentary elections, but the party would not let a single vote slip from its hands and was willing to seek access to all the minutes on the work of the election committees as they arrived at the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK).

Pajtic said that the election campaign had been marked with a media blockade of the opposition, especially the Democratic Party, and a “satanization” of the DS and all the people who represented it.

After processing results from 63 polling stations, the DS say that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won 47.99 percent of the votes, the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) won 11.08, the DS won 7.28, the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) won 8.09 SRS, the coalition comprising the Social Democratic Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (SDS-LDP-LSV) won 24.5 percent, the ‘Enough is Enough’ movement won 6.06 percent, and the Dveri – Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) coalition won 5.09 percent, said Pajtic.

“The Democratic Party is willling to seek access to every record that comes to RIK,” to prevent any attempt at stealing the free votes of people who voted for the lists, said Pajtic.

Pajtic said they had no precise results for Vojvodina yet.
