The Kosovo border police received an order at midnight to deny entry to all persons with Serbian IDs that reside in the territory of Kosovo, while Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric has said there are speculations about that, but that the situation at the crossings is being watched closely.

“If there are some changes in the regime at the integrated crossings that are not in line with the deal, Serbia will protect the interests of its citizens, as has been the case so far,” he told RTS.

As Tanjug learnt at the Kosovo police, the enforcement of this order has not started at the Jarinje and Brnjak crossings.

According to the contentious order, which has yet to be put in place in Kosovo, the people with Serbian IDs and a place of residence in Kosovo should fall under the Kosovo law on foreigners.
