
There will be eight tracks in operation, built in compliance with all European standards, the public enterprise for rail passenger transport Srbijavoz said.
As of Tuesday, the Prokop railway station will be open to city trains, or trains from the BG Voz rail fleet, as well as the ones operating on the Belgrade-Novi Sad-Belgrade route.
New Stadler trains with electric engines will run along this route.
Minister Mihajlovic said earlier on Monday that it would take one year to re-route all the services from the old station.
