The 22nd OSCE Ministerial Council started in Belgrade on Thursday with a plenary session, opened by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, and with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and OSCE officials addressing delegates.

Declaring the conference open, Dacic said that in the next two days, delegates would assess the OSCE’s achievements and results in the previous period and give certain guidelines for the future.

“An entire set of documents and decisions is in preparation. I hope we will harmonize them in the next two days in the spirit of cooperation,” Dacic told delegates, after which the agenda was adopted.

The meeting at Belgrade Arena has attracted several hundred accredited reporters, cameramen and photo reporters from the country and abroad and has top security measures in place.
