One of the world’s best harpists Xavier de Maistre will perform with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in the first of two consecutive concerts of The Philharmania and For Advanturers series at Belgrade’s Kolarac Foundation Thursday evening.

The harp virtuoso will perform under the baton of Fabrice Bollon, who is also the composer of a piece in the concert’s repertoire, and take us through a range of adventures including those of an old Cossack named Taras Bulba to a jazzer’s walk down the streets of Paris.
The repertoire comprises Bollon’s Waiting for My Plane, Reinhold Gliere’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra, Leos Janacek’s orchestral rhapsody Taras Bulba, and George Gershwin’s An American in Paris.
The concert is the second wave of The Philharmania – a series of five additional dates in the Belgrade Philharmonic current season’s timetable.
