The bodies of Jovica Stepic and Sladjana Stankovic, the two Serbian embassy employees killed in a US air strike in Libya Friday, should be transferred to Serbia Monday, says Veljko Odalovic, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Odalovic arrived in Tripoli late Sunday to conduct preparations and gather documentation required for the transfer, planned to take place in the afternoon or evening hours.

Speaking to the RTS, Odalovic said that he told the Libyan authorities that Serbia expects a detailed report from Libyan security services on everything that happened three days ago and all the circumstances of the abduction of the two embassy employees, who had been held hostage in Libya since November.

Talks are underway with the Tripoli authorities to provide a plane for the transfer and obtain a clearance for take-off, Odalovic said.
