Novak has won Australian Open 2016 by defeating Andy Murray in three straight sets 6-1 7-5 7-6(3). He also became a second player in history, besides Roy Emerson, who has managed to win this Grand Slam tournament for the sixth time (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016).

For all these years Novak has enjoyed tremendous support from all the Serbs living in Australia, but from this year on, his biggest supporter will be his son Stefan who has grown enough to be able to recognize and cheer for his daddy on TV.
