Mega Leks Belgrade is through to the final of the regional ABA basketball league after beating Buducnost Podgorica 76-75 (22-24, 22-16, 18-15, 14-20) for the second time in the semi-final series.

The young Mega Leks team celebrated in Sremska Mitrovica after also winning in Podgorica and now awaits the winner of the Red Star Belgrade vs Cedevita Zagreb semi-final series.

Mega Leks won the thriller thanks to free throws by Danilo Nikolic, after which Buducnost proved unable to score in the nine remaining seconds as Omar Cook missed a difficult shot.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led the scoring for Mega Leks with 17 points, Nikola Ivanovic scored 16 points and Nikolic added 12, while Tadija Dragicevic scored 20 points for Buducnost.

After claiming the Radivoj Korac Cup this year, Mega Leks is having the best season in its 20-year history.
