Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali met with Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang in Belgrade Monday to discuss cooperation in waste water treatment projects.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of two Chinese companies, CMEC and CAIDC, and talks with them touched on opportunities for their investment in city projects, primarily in the project to construct wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), but also in other infrastructure projects to be implemented at the city level in the future.
As agreed, representatives of the City of Belgrade will consider investment models with representatives of the Chinese companies, including options for favorable financing of the projects by Chinese financial institutions, the City Administration said in a release.
