Director of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence Sonja Liht is confident that Serbia can only be a successful country if it is a member of the European Union.
“Anyone who purports that there is a plan B is speaking absolute falsehood, because there is not a single serious alternative when it comes to political, economic and security integration, nor is anyone calling us to join them anywhere,” Liht said in an interview for Tanjug, at the end of a year which saw the opening of the first chapters in negotiations with the European Union.
Liht added that she hoped that Serbia was relatively close to arriving at a general consensus on that it wanted a successful and developed country.
