Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin on Wednesday received a farewell visit from US Ambassador Michael Kirby, who congratulated Serbia on the results of reforms and praised the country’s treatment of migrants.
Kirby particularly congratulated Serbia on reducing the grey economy and curbing illegal labour, Vulin’s ministry said in a statement.
Kirby also praised the way the Serbian government has been treating migrants and the measures it has introduced to solve the migrant crisis.
Vulin thanked Kirby for all donations provided by the US to international organisations in Serbia with the aim of assisting migrants, as well as for his personal contribution to improving Serbia-US relations, the statement said.
