The opening of chapters in the EU accession talks is a significant positive signal and an acknowledgement for all the reforms undertaken by the Serbian government, says Serbian Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic.
“Officially, we opened the negotiations in 2014 and we have completed the screening – the opening of chapters is the next step and a significant positive signal,” Joksimovic told an RTS news programme on Monday.
It is an acknowledgement for everything that the government has been doing and for what the citizens had given it a mandate because all the reforms implemented are part of a package within the chapters, she noted.
“We waited a little longer but it is not too late and we have not been wasting time. We will open chapters 32 and 35 on December 14,” Joksimovic said.
