Eighteen strategic infrastructure projects worth EUR 1.9 billion are under preparation, Minister without portfolio for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic said opening the third meeting of the National Investment Committee Thursday.

The government aims to implement the projects by securing the best financing terms with EU grants, cheap loans from international financial institutions, funds from other development partners and the Serbian budget, she said.

“In a detailed project analysis, we have analysed all preparatory steps that we need to take to carry out the projects efficiently,” Joksimovic said during the introductory part of the meeting, which was open for media.

The projects include a motorway from Nis to Pristina, construction of wastewater treatment plants in Novi Sad and Nis and upgrades to sections of the Corridor 10 rail line.
